Ministries
1. Overview
Since July 2005, we have been building relationships with the churches and ministries in the area. In February 2007, we submitted our plans to open a base to Simunye (Gathering of the Local Pastors or Lay people who give spiritual covering in Winterton - well recognised & respected body in our community) and we were given their blessing.
2. Community involvement
We are involved in a number of inter-denominational ministries in the Bergville and Winterton area. We are privileged to be a part of the pastor’s fraternals in both towns as well as men’s gatherings in both. We have been a part of a feeding scheme, in Winterton, called Matthew 25 where we hand out food parcels on a monthly basis.
There are a number of people who are already working in the community, especially home base carers. The opportunities are huge and we look forward to see how God leads us as a base.
3. Opportunities
There is a wide range of opportunities that exist in the Winterton and surrounding area. Some of the areas are:
- The poor and the needy,
- Widows & Orphans,
- HIV/AIDS affected individuals / families,
- Education, especially preschool,
- Technical training,
- Politicians,
- Business people,
- Churches,
